In 1994, the Cappiotti family brought authentic Italian cuisine to Manali by opening Il Forno, where a handmade wood-fired pizza oven became the soul of the restaurant—true to its name, Il Forno, meaning “the oven” in Italian. Inspired by its charm and performance, Marco Cappiotti noticed growing interest in wood-fired cooking and moved to Delhi in 2010 to begin his own journey as an oven maker.

 

Starting solo—outsourcing metalwork and hand-finishing ovens on-site—he soon formalized the venture into a company: Il Forno by Marco. With time, his deep-rooted knowledge and craftsmanship helped him evolve from small-scale setups to becoming one of India’s most trusted wood-fired pizza ovens manufacturers, offering residential ovens, custom solutions, and heritage-quality handcrafted brick ovens built to elevate every kitchen.

What is the best oven to buy?

Is wood better or gas?

Both wood and gas give great results, marco ovens are engineered to give the right heat and cook the pizza perfectly. having both the option is important because wood gives the smoky flavor but with gas is easier to maintain the temperature and is faster to heat up specially if the wood is dump.

Why does marco oven cost more then local brands?
